Leinster Spring League

Athlone Men’s 2nd team travelled to Birr to contest the final of the Leinster Spring League on Sunday last. Even though Athlone lost the tie by a score of 4-0 the matches were incredibly close. In fact, 3 of the matches went to match tiebreakers as the score was one set all. Overall, Birr were slightly the better team and deserved their win. Athlone were represented by Kieran McCarthy (c), Benn Cuthbert, Ronan Flanagan, and Sai Palada.
