Senior Winter Leagues
The senior winter league groups are now arranged and are posted on the notice board in the clubhouse.
Mondays: Men’s Summer Doubles League
Eighteen members competed in the men’s autumn league last Monday. The nine combinations were divided into two groups, five teams in group 1 and four in group 2. The winning team from the former was Ronan Flanagan and Declan Finn, the latter winners were Jeremy Clarke and Sundar Balasubramanian, each player collecting four points. Second and three point winners were, Viking George Bodor/Jan Groenendijk and Isaac Del Saz Palos/Darragh Elliott. Two points were awarded to Rob Kearney/Fergus Groenendijk and Kieran Mc Carthy/John Bray. Minimum point achievers were Sai Palada/Puneet Nayyar, Marek Rose/Padraig O’ Connor and Dave Costello/Atin Kohli.
Ladies Wednesday Competition
The following ladies enjoyed an excellent night’s tennis, in fine conditions, last Wednesday, Paula Dowling, Anne Dooley, Rose Costello, Sarah Seoige, Ann O’ Sullivan, Lola Fernandez Palos and Niru Sundaresan. Ladies have exclusive right to the courts every Wednesday from 7.30.
Mixed Doubles Competitions
The following duos participated in our mixed doubles event last Thursday, Anne Dooley/Padraig O’ Connor, Sarah Seoige/Isaac Saz Del Palos, Rose Costello/Michael Doheny, Evgenyia Yurchenko/Dave Costello and Mary Jo O’ Farrell/Sai Palada.
Allison Mannion partnered Marek Rose in Sunday morning’s event as did Rose Costello/Sai Palada, Maree Brennan/Dave Costello and Lola and Isaac Del Saz Palos.
Annual General Meeting
The club’s AGM will be held on Thursday 4th November. Details of access to our annual event will be through Zoom, details will be forwarded to all members later.
