 All summer league matches must be played by this Saturday 11th and the ladies’ and men’s pyramids will then be updated depending on all the results. The eagerly senior club championships will follow during September.

 Lisa Brennan tasted double wins during the past week and joins Lola Fernandez Palos and Julie Costello as the leading players in Group 1 of the ladies league. Group 2 leading player is Anne Dooley with Maree Brennan in second place. Elaine Keogh and Madhu Bhyrraju are the leading contenders to top Group 3. Clare Brett and Sharon Carty lead Group 4 while Maria Moulton leads Group 5.

 Harry O’ Rourke leads Group 1 with Sean Raftery in second place. Group 2 leading player is Kieran Mc Carthy while Dave Costello leads Group 3 with Ricky Simpson a close second. Darragh Elliott and Sundar Balasubramanian are the leading players in Group 4.  Barry O’ Shea or Seamus Maguire are the likely to top Group 5.

Mondays: Men’s Autumn Doubles League

 The men’s autumn doubles league commences this Monday 5th and will continue every week for the next two months. Teams will be arranged each at 7.30 and regular attendance ensures points every week. Regular attendees Marek Rose, Sai Palada and Dave Costello claimed the top three places in the latest doubles summer league.

Wednesday: Ladies Night

 Marie Gleeson, Sharon Carthy, Paula O’ Connor, Aoife Cadden, Evgeniya Yurchenko, Rose and Julie Costello, Lola Fernandez Palos and Jacinta Digby competed in the ladies doubles matches last Wednesday evening.

Thursday’s Mixed/Men’s Doubles

 Sixteen members turned up for mixed doubles last week, four ladies and twelve men, consequently a mixed doubles and men’s doubles competition was organised. The mixed doubles partnerships were Rose Costello/Atin Kohli, Ann O’ Sullivan/Michael Doheny, Lola Fernandez Palos/Dave Costello and Noreen Reidy/ Isaac Del Sal Palos.

 Benn Cutbertt/Puneet Nayyar, Sai Palada/Barry O’ Shea, Marek Rose/John O’ Connell and Kieran Mc Carthy/Jan Groenendijk were the men’s doubles competitors.

 At 9.30 the floodlights were turned off and all the doubles partnerships were homeward bound, contented and a little exhausted.

 Sunday’s mixed doubles matches commence at 11am and continue for two hours, all senior members are most welcome to attend any or all of the above as appropriate.
