Junior Club Championships

The junior club championships are due to start Monday 2nd August with finals on Thursday. Lisa Brennan is organising the competitions and will be in contact with all junior members through the WhatsApp group.

Ladies’ and Men’s Summer Singles Leagues

 The Tournaments committee are in the process of organising these leagues. The competitions will be run off by September 2nd followed by the club championships.

Mondays: Men’s Summer Doubles League

 Kieran Mc Carthy partnered Isaac Del Saz Palos and were tops in the men’s doubles summer league last Monday, adding four points to their totals. Second and collecting three points were Dave Costello and Atin Kohli. The two point winners were Rob Kearney and John O’ Connell. Marek Rose and Puneet Nayyer were awarded the minimum each. This competition continues every Monday from 7.30.   

Wednesdays Ladies Night

 Rose and Julie Costello, Stephane Kenny, Mary Jo O’ Farrell, Evgenyia Yurchenko and Lola Fernandez Palos enjoyed singles and doubles matches last Wednesday. Ladies have exclusive use of the courts every Wednesday and all members are welcome to participate, teams will be organised at 7.30.

Thursdays & Sundays: Mixed Doubles

 Thursday’s mixed doubles competitive duos were Mary Jo O’ Farrell and Dave Costello, Evgenyia Yurchenko and Issac Del Saz Palos, Rose Costello and Sai Palada, Lola Fernandez Palos and Marek Rose, Julie Costello and Michael Doheny.

Members will never forget the past two weeks, exceptional high temperatures made for enjoyable matches on courts that were in excellent condition.  Sunday’s mixed doubles will, according to the forecasters be the last of this warm, dry spell. Enjoying the last of the present balmy conditions were Natasha and Marie Mc Grath, Stephane Kenny, Evgenyia Yurchenko, Lola Fernandez Palos, Rose and Dave Costello, Sai Palada and Marek Rose.
