The French Open Finals

The ladies’ French Open competition, at Roland Garros, was historic. Unseeded Barbora Krejcikova won her maiden Grand Slam against 31st seed Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. It was an unforgettable week for Barbora, as she partnered Katerina Siniakova, to win the ladies doubles event also.

In the men’s competition, fifth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas, had an excellent tournament but the old order still holds, the experience of number one seed, Novak Djokovic, prevailed.  He lifted the Musketeers’ Trophy winning his nineteenth Grand Slam title. He is favourite to achieve his twentieth on grass next month, equalling Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
