Busy Busy Week

Many members enjoyed an excellent week’s tennis thanks to the relaxing of COVID restrictions and the lovely April sunshine. Singles play is only allowed for the present. Doubles play is allowed for members only if the partners are from the same family. The clubhouse should only be opened for two reasons, to turn on the floodlights and to use the toilet facilities, members should bring their own supply of drinking water.

Among the first to return to action last Monday were Peter Agbanobi, Dave Costello, Pat Conway, Ollie Mc Grath and Martin and Harry O’Rourke, Des Windsor McGlynn and David Manser. Jenya Yurchenko, Sine Macfarlane, Rose Costello, Mary O’ Neill, Anne Dooley and Deborah Mc Keown were also first day players. It was a family occasion for the Mc Carthy family as they enjoyed leisurely doubles play.
