Men’s Spring Doubles League
The tail end of Storm Ciara had a negative effect on attendance at the men’s spring doubles league last Monday with only four players competing. However on a positive note three new members, Anastasia Ivanenko, George Tebarak and Varun Roa, turned up and joined our club. In the competition Sai Palada and Dave Costello overcame Marek Rose and Isaac Del Saz Palos 2-1.
Ladies’ Night and Sunday’s Mixed Doubles
In Wednesday’s ladies’ competition Rose Costello and Anastasia Ivanenko overcame the wintry conditions to play exceptional tennis.
Thursday’s Mixed Doubles
Mixed doubles partnerships George Bodor & Rose Costello, Shadi Kalash & Deborah Mc Keown and Vincent Hall & Lola Palos Fernendaz were the winning duos for honours claiming the first three places last Thursday.
Sunday’s Mixed Doubles
Storm Dennis put paid to any action on the courts last Sunday to the dismay of the regulars who like a good early morning workout. Hopefully it will have petered out by Monday night and the men’s competition will have the usual dozen plus regulars competing.
