Men’s Autumn Doubles League
It has been an excellent tennis autumn for men’s captain, Des Windsor Mc Glynn, not alone has he won the men’s autumn singles league and consequently topping the men’s pyramid but he also has the bragging rights as winner of the men’s doubles autumn league. Dave Costello and Marek Rose were the winners of the last series of matches in the men’s autumn league. Des and John Cooney were second placed with Rob Kearney and Vijyant Singh collecting two points each. Jimmy Raleigh and Sai Palada were also in the points. Twenty five members participated in our autumn doubles league, hopefully the winter doubles league, commencing this Monday, will be equally as successful.

AGM
Our annual general meeting will be held in the clubhouse Thursday 14th November at 9pm. Development of new club facilities will be the main topic for discussion and debate at Athlone Regional Sport’s Centre, now that planning permission has been granted by Westmeath County Council for six courts and a clubhouse.
Senior Autumn Singles Leagues
Dave Costello and Sai Palada had doubles wins during the past week. However Des Windsor Mc Glynn, David Manser, Jimmy Raleigh or Sai and Conor Jones are likely to top their various groups. The remaining few matches yet to be played are unlikely to upset any apple carts. All matches must be played as no walkovers are allowed.

Junior tennis competitions continue every Sunday from 2pm with Lisa organising the events.
Junior Coaching
Clem continues coaching sessions every Saturday starting at 10am for children 4 to 8 years old. At 11 he coaches children ages 9 to 12 and from 12 he coaches older children. Please contact Clem at 0864022490 for further details.
