Senior Autumn Leagues
Harry O’ Rourke is the leader so far in Group A of the men’s league with two victories. Des Windsor Mc Glynn, George Bodor and Luckas Mierzwa have all won matches. Orla Kinahan has tasted victory in the ladies league as has Anna Walsh also. All matches are best of three sets, the third set may be a 'match tie-break'. Ladies matches, excluding top group, are first to 9 games. All results must be entered on the sheets posted in the clubhouse. No walkovers allowed.

Junior Autumn League
Lisa’s junior autumn league continues to grow every Sunday so she has decided to form two sessions. The first begins at 2 and continues to 3.30pm. The second session then starts and finishes at 5pm. The under 10 winners last week were Roisin Ni Cluaid and Jack O’Shea. The runners up were Neeharika Chippa and Caesar Leal. Emma Mc Dermott and David O’ Shea were the under 14 winners with Andrew Crowe and Neehariks Chippa in second place.
Men’s Autumn Doubles League
Des Windsor Mc Glynn and Cathal Kenny formed the winning partnership in the men’s doubles autumn league last week. Luckas Mierzwa and Michael Rodgers collect three points as runners up to them. John Bray and Jimmy Raleigh were third while joint fourth were the John Cooney/Vincent Hall and Marek Rose/Enda Staunton partnerships. A special word of welcome to Ballinasloe players Vincent and Enda and nice to see both gaining points in their first outing in Athlone.
Social Tennis
Des Windsor Mc Glynn and Cathal Kenny emerged as winners after a very competitive series of matches last Monday evening. Last Tuesday the two Marys Mss O’ Neill and O’ Farrell enjoyed a very worthwhile workout. Stephane Kenny and Seamus Grey formed a winning partnership in the mixed doubles event last Thursday.
Coaching by Clem Higginbotham
Clem will continue coaching for junior members each Saturday morning. Children ages 4-7 have lessons from 10 to 11 o clock, children 8-12 at 11 o clock and teenagers up to 18 years from 12 to 1 o clock. Further details from Clem 0864022490.

Our annual general meeting will be on 22nd November, our junior and senior Christmas hampers competitions are on Saturday and Sunday 7th and 8th December respectively while it’s party night Saturday 15th December.
