Men’s Doubles Summer League
Harry O’ Rourke and Szymon Reisch were the winning duo in the men’s summer doubles league last Monday, both adding four points to their total. John Cooney and Dave Costello collected three points each while Rob Kearney and Pat Conway were two points better off. Marek Rose and Nulene Agbanobi shared in the spoils also.
Club Nights
Monday night is the busiest night of the week with all four courts seeing plenty of activity. Harry and Szymon were the winning combination last week. Julie Costello and Sine Macfarlane were just two of the more competitive players during Tuesday evening’s ladies session. Mary Jo O’ Farrell and John Galvin combined to play brilliant tennis in Thursday’s mixed doubles session.
Mullingar Open
The Mullingar open starts Monday 3rd and all finals are on Sunday 9th September. Entries if interested to Richie 0863664326 or Patricia 0879036142. There will be three grades in all events, ladies’ and men’s singles, doubles and mixed doubles competitions, catering for a multitude of players. Closing date is Wednesday 29th August.
Senior Club Championships
Please note that our senior club championships will be from Monday 10th and will be run off over three weeks. The finals will be played Saturday 29th September.
Coaching
Clem will continue coaching for junior members each Saturday morning. Children ages 4-7 have lessons from 10 to 11 o clock, children 8-12 at 11 o clock and teenagers up to 18 years from 12 to 1 o clock. Further details from Clem 0864022490. Just turn up and join in!
