Men’s Winter Doubles Competition

Action was on all four courts last Monday night with many players enjoying an excellent night’s tennis despite the arctic conditions. By 9.30 most players were feeling the effects of the “beast from the east” and consequently no finals were played as usual. The winners from the round robin series of matches were Harry O’ Rourke and Niall Gallagher, both adding four points to their total. John Cooney and Marek Rose received three points for being second placed. The Tim Clarke/Michael Rodgers and John Galvin/Dave Costello duos were joint third and all four players collected two points each. All male members are welcome to partake in this league every Monday night.

Senior Winter Leagues

Jeremy Clarke and Pawel Michalski were winners in their first league matches during the past week. All players are reminded that matches must be completed by 29th March 2018. As usual the Pyramids will be revised after the league on a two up, two down basis. The matches are the best of three sets - The third set may be a 'match tie-break'. Please record the results on the sheets posted in the clubhouse. All matches must be played asno walkovers are allowed.
