Our junior club championship for 2017 will be played over the weekend 24th and 25th February. Competitions will be for boys and girls at U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18. There will also be U12, U14, U16 and U18 boys and girls doubles events.
All junior members interested in playing must sign up in club house or contact Lisa on 0862215843.
Senior Winter Leagues
All matches must be completed by 29th March 2018. As usual the Pyramids will be revised after the league on a two up, two down basis. The matches are the best of three sets - The third set may be a 'match tie-break'. Please record the results on the sheets posted in the clubhouse. All matches must be played asno walkovers are allowed.

Men’s Winter Doubles Competition
Gentle snowflakes were falling as ten hardy men took to the courts last Monday night. As soon as the teams were arranged the competitors took a longer than usual time to warm up. By nine o’ clock the round robin series of matches were completed and when the points were totted up the leading duo was Harry O’ Rourke and John Bray. In second place were Martin O’ Rourke and Dave Costello and these two teams contested the A final. Jeremy Clarke and Tristan Murphy Underhill played John Cooney and Marek Rose in the B final.
Martin O’ Rourke, who had an excellent night’s tennis with numerous winners while guarding the net, and Dave Costello were the eventual winners collecting four points. Harry and John added three to their collection. The B final winners were Jeremy and Tristan adding two points to their total while John and Marek achieved the minimum. All male members are welcome to partake in this league every Monday night.
Club Nights
Club nights continue every Monday, this is an opportunity for male members to play in our winter doubles league, just come along at 7.30.
Deirdre Cox and Sine Macfarlane were the two most consistent ladies competing last Tuesday.
The Rose and Dave Costello combination were the winners in the mixed doubles last Thursday while Deirdre Cox and Marek Rose were the runners up.
