Spring Leagues

The official forms for signing up for the spring leagues are now in the clubhouse and these leagues will be commencing shortly. A large number of players have signed up so far.

Ladies Pyramid

Lisa Brennan topped the ladies pyramid after the winter league but Paula Dowling dislodged her during the past week in a successful challenge, Paula is now number 1 with Lisa at number 2. Melanie Whyte holds third position with Orla Kinahan fourth. Jacinta Digby moves up to fifth place after winning group B of the latest league.

Men’s Pyramid

Pawel Michalski tops the men’s pyramid having won group A of the winter league. Des Windsor Mc Glynn is second but has to defend his place as Tim Clarke who is now fifth having jumped from eight spot by overcoming Luciano Molinari during the past week, has challenged him. Sean Raftery is third followed by Jeremy Clarke.

Social Tennis

Social tennis continues every Monday for men, Rob Kearney and Thomas Furey were in top form last week both playing the power game.

The ladies compete every Tuesday but last week wind and rain were the only ones on court. Better luck this Tuesday.

Anna Walsh and Michael Rodgers had many winners in the mixed doubles matches during Thursday’s two hours of tennis.

New potential members are welcome to come along any of these nights and participate in the friendly competitions.

Junior Coaching

The 2016 junior season is starting with new coaching term starting on Tuesday and Friday  Glynnevenings. Coaching is available for junior members, aged 6-16 and lessons start on the hour from 4pm. During the coming term we will also be running fun practice tournaments on the last week of every month for the juniors and there will be a blitz against players from Mullingar, Tullamore and Moate shortly with the date be confirmed.
