Men’s Spring Doubles League
The second round of the men’s spring doubles league continued last Monday with ten players competing. Joint first placed duos were John Cooney & Sai Palada and Des Windsor Mc Glynn & Jesus Areso Ruiz. Marek Rose and Michael O’ Beirne collected three points each while Viking George Bodor and Isaac Del Saz Palos were awarded two each. Dave Costello and Andres Leal were also point winners.
Ladies’ Night and Sunday’s Mixed Doubles
Ladies’ captain Eveginya Yurchenko has returned from visiting her family in St Petersburg and will be organising the competition this Wednesday weather permitting.
Thursday’s Mixed Doubles
In the mixed doubles competition George Tebarak, Varun Roa, Rose Costello and Lola Palos Fernendaz were very competitive. Twelve players participated last week.
Sunday’s Mixed Doubles
Rachel and Niamh Cooney, Lola Palos Fernendaz and Rose Costello partnered John Cooney, Pat Conway, Shadi Kalash and Sai Palda respectively, enjoying friendly tennis matches, in the fine spring sunshine.
