Senior Club Championships
Harry O’ Rourke, Jeremy Clarke, Des Windsor Mc Glynn, Tim Clarke, Marek Rose and Jimmy Raleigh were successful in their initial club championship singles matches last week. Carmel Hayes was also a winner in the ladies competition. Mixed doubles winners were Mary O’ Neill and Tim Clarke. George Bodor and Cathal Kenny overcame Richard Frank and Marek Rose in the men’s doubles, a very close encounter 7-6, 7-6. Saturday 28th is finals day.
Junior Club Championships
These will continue next Sunday from 2pm weather permitting, Lisa will be in contact via WhatsApp.
Midland League
Division 3 players Des Windsor Mc Glynn, Richard Frank, Michele Culligan and Melanie Whyte overcame Birr Wilmer 3-1 last Wednesday.
Men’s Monday Doubles
Hughie Glynn and Dave Costello were competitive and took the honours in last Monday’s doubles competition.
Mixed Doubles Thursday Night
Oonagh Collins, Deborah Mc Keown, Julie Costello, Michael Doheny, Jamie Waldron and Marek Rose were among the group who enjoyed the mixed doubles competition last Thursday.
Sunday Morning Mixed Doubles
This competitive competition is being cancelled until October to facilitate the playing of club championship matches.
Junior Coaching
Clem continues coaching sessions every Saturday starting at 10am for children 4 to 8 years old. At 11 he coaches children ages 9 to 12 and from 12 he coaches older children. Please contact Clem at 0864022490 for further details.
