Ladies’ and Men’s Annual Doubles Competitions
Our annual ladies’ and men’s doubles finals were played Thursday evening last. In perfect playing conditions. The ladies final was contested by Lisa Brennan and Oonagh Collins against Anne Dooley and Rose Costello, the former claiming victory in a pulsating final. Harry O’ Rourke partnered Cathal Kenny to take the honours in the men’s final. The runners up were John Galvin and Eugene Dooley.

Summer Camps
We are organising two summer camps this year. Our first summer camp will start Monday July 15th to Friday July 19th from 10am to 1pm and our second will be from July 29th to 3rd August, contact Clem for details and to book a place at 0864022490.
Sunday’s Mixed Doubles
Sunday’s mixed doubles was a very friendly event with all four pairings ending the round robin series of matches on the same number of points. In the blustery conditions duos Roisin Casey/Pat Conway, Rose Costello/Eugene Dooley, Jacinta Digby/Sai Palada and Lucia Recvenco/Marek Rose decided to finish the competition all square. Next Sunday members and adults wishing to join a pleasant and very active tennis club can participate in another mixed doubles competition starting at 11am. Members wishing to renew their membership and anyone interested in joining our club can register any Monday, Wednesday or Thursday or from 7.30 to 9.30.
Junior Members’ Games
Children ages 10 to 16 can register from 2pm followed with friendly competitions until 3.30. Then the younger children can register and afterwards enjoy friendly competition until 5pm.
Senior Summer Singles Leagues
The summer singles leagues are progressing with a lot of matches played during the past week. Recent winners were Anna Walsh, Laura Hunt, Stephane Kenny, Jacinta Digby, Carmel Hayes, Mary O' Neill, George Bodor and John Bray. All matches are to be played by 13th June.

Men’s Doubles Summer League
Harry O’ Rourke and Cathal Kenny added four points as winner in last Monday’s men’s doubles competition. Rob Kearney and Hughie Glynn collected three points while Jamie Waldron and Eugene Dooley were awarded two. Duos Lukasz Mierzwa/Sai Palada, Dave Costello/Jimmy Raleigh, John Galvin/Pat Conway were also point winners.
Ladies’ Doubles Summer League
Lisa Brennan, Anne Dooley, Oonagh Collins, Evgeniia Yurchenko and Rose Costello shared the points in the ladies’ summer doubles competition last Wednesday.
Thursday’s Mixed Doubles Competition
Last Thursday Lucia Recvenco and Dave Costello were the winners in with Evgeniia Yurchenko and Marek Rose as runners up.
Coaching
Clem continues coaching sessions every Saturday starting at 10am for children 4 to 8 years old. At 11 he coaches children ages 9 to 12 and from 12 he coaches older children. Please contact Clem at 0864022490 for further details.
Lisa and Clem organise friendly competitions for members every Sunday starting at 2pm for children ages 10 to 15 and from 3.30 to 5pm for younger children. Contact Lisa at 0862215843 for more details.
