Westmeath Independent Hall of Fame

Clem will be presented with his well-deserved Hall of Fame Award at the 2018 Westmeath Independent sports star awards ceremony Friday 25th January in the Shamrock Lodge Hotel. It promises to be a memorable night for Clem and the other twelve sports stars who will receive their awards that night.

Men’s Doubles Winter League

Last week Des Windsor Mc Glynn and Cathal Kenny combined to earn four points each. Jeremy Clarke teamed up with Pat Conway and were second placed. John Galvin and Nigel Coyle were third and received two points each. Dave Costello and Anders Leal added a point to their collection.

With a few weeks left in this league the leading player on 21 points is John Galvin. Des Windsor Mc Glynn has a score of 20 while third placed is Dave Costello on 18 points.

Ladies Competition Night

For many years the ladies competed every Tuesday night but starting January 30th next ladies night for competitions will be on every Wednesday from 7.30 to 9.30. The move to Wednesday night has been well received according to the messages on our WhatsApp.

Mixed Doubles Competition

Our mixed doubles winners last Thursday  were Rose Costello and Nigel Coyle. Our mixed doubles ecompetitions may move to Sundays in spring.
