Des Windsor Mc Glynn and John Groarke were winners, being the winners among the few who turned up last Monday night, the weather being unpleasant for tennis, but why complain we were blessed with excellent sunny evenings for the recent mixed doubles competition and it promises to repeat itself for the ladies and men’s competition this week.
Ladies night for competing is on Wednesday, Anne Daly and Stephane Rodrigues were both playing consistently and winning.
The mixed doubles continues to very popular and Aisling Concannon teamed up with P J O’ Reilly on Thursday to outclass the other partnerships.6-6-2010
Denis Galvin and Rob Johnson were the best performers on Monday, successfully competing in the round robin series of matches.
The ladies were playing on Wednesday, Mary Breen and Alice Johnson made a welcome return to their winning ways, playing exceptional tennis.
On Thursday Ann O’ Sullivan and Lorcan Carbin were the best partnership defeating all other couples in a highly entertaining nights tennis.31-5-2010
Raf Huspatel and David Grourke, two new members, competed very well on Monday, Raf having an excellent serve while David was steady with his groundstrokes.
The ladies were in action as usual on Wednesday, Melanie Samuels, back after an extended period away from the courts, played at her usual best as did Aisling Concannon.
Thursday saw a large turn out of players for the Mixed doubles, Pat Conway made a winning return after injury and Anna Walsh was also very competitive on court.

DCU student Ruairi Dooley took a break from his studies on Monday to enjoy some tennis as was Denis Galvin, back after a couple of months break, showed some good tennis touches with his base line play.
Wednesday sees the ladies in action. Club captain Carolyn Tunney and Joan O’ Brien competed very well putting a nice run of games together.
Mixed doubles players compete on Thursday, Stephanie Rodrigues and Cathal Kenny were a formidable partnership winning a lot of close encounters.

On Wednesday Paula Dowling and Geraldine Tighe were in the groove and played cool tennis.
Mixed doubles on Thursday saw the return of Clem Higginbotham and he was back to his winning ways as was Maria Maher.

On Wednesday night Alice Johnson and Michelle Culligan were back to their winning ways.
A larger than usual number of players turned up for Mixed doubles on Thursday with the best pairing on the night being Sarah Seoige and Tim Clarke.

A larger than usual number of players turned up for Mixed doubles on Thursday and it was good to see Lucinda Hewitt back playing again, she teamed up with Iain Hatton, number two on the men’s pyramid to successfully compete against the other couples.

On Wednesday nights the lady tennis players turn out in style for an enjoyable night. Last week Anne Daly and Carolyn Tunney put in good performances.
Mixed doubles are played on Thursdays and after a bad start against Aisling Concannon and Geoff Yorke last week Stephaine Rodrigues and Dave Costello won all their other matches and were the eventual winners.

On Wednesday night the lady tennis players were out and Carolyn Tunney and Lenka Hubana put in good performances.
On Thursday Sarah Seoige and Kieran Galvin overcame the inclement weather and the opposition to claim victory.

Moate competitors, Denis Galvin and Jimmy Raleigh were the winners last Monday night. Denis played some excellent serves while Jimmy won many points with his unwavering crosscourt shots.
Ladies night is due to commence on the first Wednesday of March.
Joan O’ Brien, whose baseline play, has improved immensely and some fine overhead smashes from Dave Costello were the Mixed Doubles winners on Thursday last.

Monday is the men’s night for competitions and this is going well for the past couple of weeks.
Last Monday night was well contested with the eventual winners being Tim Clarke and Pat O’ Hanlon.
Mixed Doubles continues on Thursdays, last week Anne Dooley and Jesus Meco Diaz formed a good combination to defeat all other double partners. Ladies night is due to commence on the first Wednesday of March.
