The AGM was held in the clubhouse on Thursday 19th at 9pm. It was held before the autumn league presentation and a large crowd attended. Mary Breen, club secretary, gave a comprehensive report on the year’s events and reported on all club activities and competitions. Jacinta Digby, club treasurer, reported on the club’s income and expenses for the year. Her report was well received as it showed a nice positive balance. Dave Costello, club chairperson, outlined plans for the coming year. He was glad to report that the club became more active and vibrant during the past year thanks to an influx of an active younger group of females and males. The Tournaments Committee had done an excellent job in organizing all year round competitions for both junior and senior members. Finally he expressed his appreciation and thanks to the officers, committee, members and sponsors who made the year very rewarding. He thanked Athlone GAA Committee for their continued support and cooperation.
