14 finals on 19-9-09

These championship matches are going very well thanks to the good weather and the commitment of all the competitors. This year, club member and championship participant Olly Mc Grath from www.athloneproperty.ie is sponsoring the championships. Last years singles winners Lisa Brennan and Darek Materniak are not defending their titles, therefore two new names will go on the cups this year. There are a lot of other good players who will also fancy their chances of lifting the cups. Anna Walsh and Zygmunt Mierzwa must surely fancy their chances of winning the ladies and men’s competitions. There are fourteen finals to be completed on Saturday and hopefully the fine summery weather will continue so all can enjoy some exciting and scintillating tennis.
