Harry O’Rourke and Emma Fagan had triple triumphs at the Junior Club Championships, sponsored by Temple Print, which were played during the past week. This competition had young players from under ten to eighteen competing for eight cups and lots of trophies. It was well organised and efficiently run by and Martin O’ Rourke and Lisa Brennan. Ciaran Temple, representing Temple Print, presented the winners and runners up with their cups and trophies. This competition was the culmination of the daily tennis scene for our young players and in spite of the non-summer weather it was a well attended and enjoyable two months for all. On behalf of Athlone Tennis Club Dave Costello welcomed Ciaran and stated he appreciated the financial contribution that helped to make the competition so very sporting and successful.
