Our Junior Open competitions sponsored by Athlone Drug Awareness Group were played during the past week. This competition had many young players, both girls and boys, displaying their tennis skills and talents acquired over the years. It was well organised and efficiently run by Lisa Brennan and Martin O’ Rourke. Frankie Kenna Chairperson and Jim Henson Treasurer Athlone Drug Awareness Group presented the winners and runners up with their trophies. On behalf of Athlone Tennis Club Dave Costello welcomed Frankie and Jim stating that he was delighted to be associated with the tremendous work being done by Athlone Drug Awareness Group and he appreciated the financial contribution that helped to make the open competition so very interesting, sporting and successful.   See Gallery for pictures
